In the spring of 2016 Symphontree Music and Joel Sahlstrom set out to design a new line of guitars using native historical tone woods. We decided to pair a vintage bear claw Adirondack top with a perfectly quarter sawn Honduran mahogany set milled in 1957. The aged mahogany was milled by a furniture maker who had stashed the wood to build a very special piece for Elvis Presley. Now after 60 years later this incredible wood is given a voice.

The guitar was finished and delivered to Symphontree Music early March in the constellation of Pisces

This is a Sahlstrom original body design, headstock design, rosette, bracing pattern and voice. Borrowed design details would be the arm rest and pin less bridge which have both been integrated on this piece with a Sahlstrom touch.

This guitar has an inviting voice, incredibly comfortable body and tight waist. It is an instrument that will impress you time and time again with the pleasantness and lightness of it’s profound articulation. Expect a guitar that will learn from you as a player and reward you with warm breaths of tone. This guitar exudes a more feminine vibe for me due to it’s refined lines and sweet voice.
